The Eldritch MUSH Wiki is designed as a one stop resource for players to locate information on Game News, the Game System, Characters, the Game Setting, Web Resources, and Roleplying information. It is also designed as a repository for Staff Member, Character, Team, Organization, Business, Location, and Neighborhood information pages. This is a community effort, where players update, add, and expand upon these repository pages to flesh out the game world.
Wiki Areas
Our wiki is broken into several areas for ease of finding specific information. The sections below explain the uses of each individual area.
Characters
The Characters area includes links to several lists. These include lists of the current and departed player characters, game NPCs, organizations, and teams. These individual lists give some basic information, and link to separate repository pages with much more detailed information on specific characters, NPCs, orgs, or teams. The information on these pages is considered OOC except for what is listed in the Common Knowledge section of the repository pages, and should only be utilized if your character has come across it IC.
Setting
The Setting area contains links to all the information on the City of Eldritch and its underground shadow city. This includes maps, directories, information on the real world equivalent area, and statistics. There is also theme relevant information on Eldritch's history, the resident species, and tales that most residents have heard at one time or another.
This information should only be utilized if your character would have access to it, or has come by it IC. For example, a brand new visitor to the city might not know the tales, unless they were a historian specializing in folklore. Someone with no knowledge of the supernatural would have no idea the underground exists, and supernaturals who have been sheltered all their lives and are not Eldritch natives likely would not either. If you are not sure if your character would know something in the Setting information, ask a staff member.
Game System
The Game System area includes links to vital information on the mechanics of playing on Eldritch MUSH. This is an RPG converted heavily for our setting and for the uniqueness of a 24/7 online environment with multiple GMs. This system is based on the Eden Studios "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Angel" RPG systems, but has been altered in many ways. We do not expect our players to know these systems well, or to have knowledge of them at all when they begin, so we provide everything they need to play within the system under this section of the Wiki.
The large amount of information here might seem overwhelming at first. But we have a GameHelp channel where staff and knowledgeable players will happily answer any questions you have on game mechanics. You may also page any on duty staff member with questions, or if no one is around at the time, you can submit a +request for information.
Information
The Information area of the wiki includes non-theme, non-game mechanic information that players need to be aware of. This includes guides, policies, staff member info, and information on other resources for players such as the wiki, forums, and Livejournal Community.
Roleplay
The Roleplay area has links to information on IC roleplaying. This includes descriptions and requirements for plots, past staff plot synopsis, and IC news. It also has instructions, requirements, and guidelines for submitting logs and casting votes.
Player Information
The Player Information area has information about creating characters on Eldritch MUSH. This includes instructions, tips, restrictions, and ideas for character creation and concepts. It also provides links to connect to the game, and email staff. These are just there for quick and easy access for users.
Wiki Help
The Wiki Help area has important information for players who plan to add content to the wiki page. This includes guidelines for content and formatting, instructions for adding character pages, and links to templates and mediawiki help files.
Repository Pages
Repository pages have guidelines which must be adhered to. They can be found at Character Pages and Guidelines.
Staff
These pages hold information about the Eldritch MUSH staff. They include information on their duties, their current task lists, and best ways to contact them. ((These pages are strictly added and updated by Staff))
Current Characters
These pages hold information about Eldritch MUSH characters. They include information on character's Qualities and Drawbacks for RP purposes. ((These pages may be added by Staff and updated by Players)) Some of the character pages are for major NPCs, and will have _(NPC) appending the character name. These pages will be locked, as only staff may update them.
Teams
These pages hold information about Eldritch MUSH teams. They include member and ally lists and information on the purpose of the team and each team's statistics for RP purposes. ((These pages may be added by Staff and updated by Players))
Organizations
These pages hold information about Eldritch MUSH organizations. They include member, team, and ally lists, as well as information on the purposes of the organizations and organization statistics for RP purposes. ((These pages are strictly added and updated by Staff))
Businesses
These pages hold information about Eldritch MUSH businesses. They include information on neighborhood location, owners, and employees, as well as goods and services offered for RP purposes. ((These pages may be added by Staff and updated by Players))
Locations
These pages hold information about Eldritch MUSH locations. These are non-business places of interest such as parks, schools, museums and landmarks. Pertinent information about these places and neighborhood location is included for RP purposes. ((These pages may be added by Staff and updated by Players))
Neighborhoods
These pages hold information about Eldritch MUSH neighborhoods. They include descriptions, lists of residences, businesses, and places of interest, as well as the social class of the area for RP purposes. ((These pages are strictly added and updated by Staff))

Forums
The Eldritch MUSH forums are designed as an extension of the game to help players connect OOCly for IC and social purposes, ask questions of the staff, expand information on some of the cultures of the game world, post logs, and just plain hang out. It is also a place for staff to hold discussions and to archive important information.
Forum Areas
Our forum is broken into several areas for ease of finding specific information. The sections below explain the uses of each individual area.
News and Archived Announcements
The News and Archives area of the Eldritch Forums has two sections, New and archived announcements.
News: The news area is a one stop place for players to find announcements about the game. It will mirror the announcements board on the game itself, and the current events posted on the wiki, as well as any announcements on the LJ community.
Archived Announcements: The Archived Announcements area is for the hosting of old bulletin board posts on the game, in order to keep the number of posts to an easily readable minimum, and prevent new players from being overwhelmed. This also preserves posts in case something gets deleted on the game which should not have.
Game Resources
The Game Resources area of the Eldritch Forums has three sections, Expanded Cultures, Game Questions, and Recruitment.
Expanded Cultures: The Expanded Cultures Forum is a place where extended information about the cultures and mores of Eldritch's various inhabitants and groups can be found. This is not generally vital information, but is more or less 'flavor' information that players can use to have a deeper and more colorful roleplay environment in their scenes.
Game Questions: The Game Questions Forum is a place where players can ask questions of staff and other players about game mechanics and theme. If you aren't sure of how Eldritch works in any respect, or need clarification on theme issues, please feel free to post here. If you have an opinion about part of the game, rather than a question, please post in the Game Discussion forum.
Recruitment: The Recruitment Forum is a place where players can post recruitment notices for teams, orgs, and characters from their background or ones they would like to see on grid.
Discussion Forums
The Discussion Forums area of the Eldritch Forums has two sections, Game Discussion and General Discussion.
Game Discussion: The Game Discussion Forum is a place where players and staff can discuss and debate the system, theme, character interactions, and game-related philosophies about Eldritch. Suggestions can be placed here, and staff may poll the playerbase via this forum about upcoming changes and how well aspects of the game work.
General Discussion: The General Discussion Forum is a place where players and staff can discuss, chat about, and debate whatever they feel like within reason. This is for non-game related discussions and if you want to just post silly stuff and converse here, this is the spot.
Roleplay Logs
The Roleplay Logs area of the Eldritch Forums has four sections for players and staff to post game logs: Sagas, Chronicles, Fables, and Anecdotes.
Sagas: The Sagas Forum is a place for staff to post Staff Run game wide plot logs.
Chronicles: The Chronicles Forum is a place for staff to post Staff Run plot logs which are not part of an overarching game-wide plot. Staff run team and org plots, plots run by staff for players by request, and plots run by staff to aid them in buying or raising qualities/buying off drawbacks can be found here.
Fables: The Fables Forum is a place for players to post Player-Run plot logs.
Anecdotes: The Anecdotes Forum is a place for players to post regular social (non-plot) logs.
Artist's Alley
The Artist's Alley area of the Eldritch Forums has four two sections for players to post fun, creative stuff: Fan Art and Fan Fiction.
Fan Art: The Sagas Forum is a place for staff to post Staff Run game wide plot logs.
Fan Fiction: The Chronicles Forum is a place for staff to post Staff Run plot logs which are not part of an overarching game-wide plot. Eldritch Admin
